'bout this zine
This seedling of a website, if you will, is meant to inspire all you folks out there to take charge of your future and come together as a community of farming activists who seek a better tasting tomato, a less pesticide-ridden apple, a more wholesome glass of milk, minus the growth hormones. This website could be so much more: envision a resource center, a go-to place with up-to-date information on the latest, greatest sustainable agriculture innovators, a who’s who of what’s what and how can I do that too. I see webcasts in our future, podcasts, even a radio show, message boards and a classified section with job postings and Skype technology to communicate better amongst ourselves. For this to happen, I need partners, collaborators, contributors and most importantly, sponsors.
Many farmers, I know, do not have much time to spend on computers, so those of us who are strapped to ours more often than not, I ask that you check back here from time to time and share your experiences and knowledge of what farmers are doing out there and help grow this tiny seed of an idea into a real, online sustainable farming community. Each page is its own blog so sign up, plug in and respond. We need your input.
